We are the union of two of Chesapeake’s premier hair families.

Xanadu Salon & Color Bar has officially joined forces with Coastal Roots Hair Salon to create a unified, local, Veteran and Minority Woman-led small business.

Since 2011, we have been a community-focused, education-based salon dedicated to providing sustainable careers for beauty professionals. Our team of incredibly talented stylists—who will quickly feel like long-lasting friends—strive to deliver a personalized experience that perfectly complements our high-end artistry. What products do you use?

Why do I need a credit card to book?

To protect the valuable time of our team and ensure we can accommodate as many guests as possible, we require a card on file to secure your booking. Our system is Level 1 PCI compliant (the highest industry security), so your data is always encrypted and safe.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours' notice for all cancellations. This allows us to fill the spot with guests from our waitlist. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice or "no-shows" will be charged in accordance with our official policy.

What happens if I don’t love my hair?

Your happiness is our priority. If you aren't fully in love with your result, please reach out to us within one week of your service. We genuinely appreciate the opportunity to make things right and ensure you leave feeling your absolute best.

What’s included in my service?

We believe in a complete "Glow Up." Most of our color and cut services include a Complimentary Wash, Trim/Dusting, Blowout, and Style. If your hair requires extra love—like a specialized treatment or additional toning—your stylist will provide a professional recommendation during your consultation.

How long will my appointment take?

Quality takes time. Our most sought-after color services typically range from 2.5 to 4 hours. We never rush and never compromise your hair's health to ensure you get the results you deserve.
